I spent a couple days in Chicago this week for work and with guests for the majority of last week, I'm exhausted! Since my schedule is so inconsistant I wanted to keep you guys up to date on other ways to follow me and my crazy life!

Living/Dining Room Tour?

Blair and I have a couple of guests coming in this weekend so of course we are hurrying to clean the whole house. I thought since it was super clean, I would give you guys a couple of quick pics of our downstairs living area/dining room since I've had several requests to film a tour of Blair and I's town house. We've been slowing decorating since Blair is in chiropractic school and we will most likely only stay herefor a couple more years before we decide to expand and eventually get a home. But for now, it's enough for us and our two pups!

See, it's already a mess. This is what happens with two dogs, one that likes to bury himself in the cushions/blankets (Bleak) and the other who is still a fiesty pup (Bart). The couches are hand em downs from my parents and I personally hate them. We really need to invest in new couches or better covers. I do like thered accents (which you will continue to see)

Speaking of pups, look what Blair just got! Two doggy plant pots, don't they look like bart and bleak?

There are the little trouble makers..messing up another couch!

All over Blair and I have pictures of us, family, and the dogs. This one has my favorites from our first year together :)

I love the colors of these signs as well. These are currently on our kitchen wall, eventually i would like to expand into more similar signs. Blair bought me the two on the right :)

Our dining room table. More red. We really need more in that back corner, but I like how the art plays into the rest of the room.

So that's it! I would love to do a house video tour more in depth, just another project to the list :)

Have I found the one?

As you know, my face is an oily hot mess and I'm constantly on the hunt for the perfect foundation to withstand a long day's wear.

Mac foundations break me out.

Chanel Mat Lumerie couldn't fight my oiliness and was too heavy.

Double Wear from Estee Lauder was close, but I hated the packaging and looked cakey.

Cult favs from MUFE and Guerlain? Nope.

It wasn't until I received SEVERAL suggestions to try Hourglass's Immaculate Liquid foundation. I don't want to get ahead of myself since it's only day one (HAH!) but literally my foundation has lasted all day without moving. Blair even noticed and said how much better it looked. After a few more weeks of testing I'll be able to do a full review.

But as you can tell, I was super excited so I thought i would share.

Again, sorry for the delay. I was able to go back home to Kansas City (where my parents live) and see my friends and sorority sisters so I was busy and unable to blog. I haven't seen them in months! But I am back on track now :)

Keeping My Head High: Weigh in 1

Haters gonna hate.

But I have lost 7 lbs so far at 172 lb. What now :)

What i've learned so far is not to take so much away at first like I had thought would've been best. I'm allowed a glass of wine every once in a while, I'm allowed a treat if I've been doing well. The biggest thing I've learned so far is really on how to eat better and to be more active. I don't need to feel full anymore and because of this, i feel less bloated and I have more energy.

So I'm going to keep on trucking and keeping my head high with my goal of being healthy and comfortable in my own skin again.

Spring Trend: Crop Top OOTD

Not everyone has the body for a crop top, yet this body is becoming more and more important in the fashion world. So I thought I would share how I wore this trend both during the day and into the night.

Day:

Top: Brandy Melville

Jewelry: Dogeared and House of Harlow

Skirt: Forever 21

Here I pair my crop top with a high waisted skirt. This allows just the little bit of skin to peak through.

Night:

Tank: Target

Ponte Pants: Joes

It got a bit chilly in evening so I switched in a more layered look. Which I believe is a little more wearable.
